Manner prefix

Some verbs (not all) can take a manner prefix. Several prefixes indicate the way an action is done.

hipangabige "break with a knife"
pangabige "break"

ana- with a foot anabologatege "spread with foot"
wom- bluntly wombagabige "break (a law, pig's head)"
The manner prefixes

There are other manner prefixes that we are considering, but have not agreed on:

  • to- "piercing"?
  • pi- "in circles"?
  • ala- "preparing"?

Representation in the lexicon

Verbs can be marked as taking one of these affixes. The spellcheck then automatically adds these as spellcheck options.
New prefixes can be defined in the lexicon if needed.
