Verbs

Kovol verbs are always conjugated. The formula looks like this:

+/- Object pfx +/- Manner pfx + root + verb sfx +/- aspect sfx

All verbs take an obligatory medial or final suffix that indicates its position in a sentence. Final verbs mark the end of the sentence and carry the primary Tense, actor and mood information for the entire chain, while medial verbs indicate sequential actions and are dependent.

Verbal chaining

Verbs chain together to form a complex predicate that constitutes a single, multi-clausal sentence. This chaining allows for the concise expression of multiple sequential actions.

Neym heb salib yab obob tugab ilib pigom.
"Tree see, get up, go down, get, carry on shoulder, go up, and I put."

7 verbs chain to form this complex predicate, with the final verb taking a final verb suffix. There are 7 clauses and 7 propositions in this chain, but only a single sentence.
