  • Texts may have an introductory sentence.
    • Can be a "topic" ege aminim or a "topic" nom egeng, but rarely.
    • Usually just a bit of background info
      • "We were at our place."
      • "Samuel gave me a pig."
      • "I saw my pig's testicles were ready to remove."
  • Hortatory texts may start with an opinion, background fact or an exhortation to listen
    • "You should listen"
    • "You didn't get a good husband"
    • "I have thinking to tell you"
    • “My child, my son I am going to tell you my knowledge”
    • “What kind of talk have you been talking and going around?”
    • “How the things came down to his place (heaven) that we don’t know”
  • Texts usually end with an "ege anggom" that signals the end of a speech.
  • There doesn't seem to be a way to signal peak.
